Lorene Miller

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, December 21, 1992 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Lorene Miller

Lorene Dorothy Miller, the daughter of John and Mattie (Schwisow) Tolin, was born March 14, 1917, at Bristol, Colorado, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 17, 1992, at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 3 days.

She grew up in Colorado, and graduated from Grenada, Colorado High School. She moved to Los Angeles, California to work, where she met her husband.

On January 1, 1942, she was united in marriage to Edward W. Miller at Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in Riverside, California, and in 1944 they returned to the Aurora area, where they were engaged in farming. Ed preceded her in death on March 25, 1984. She worked as head housekeeper at the Hamilton Manor from 1968 to 1989. In June of 1992, she moved into her new home in Aurora.

Lorene was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and was president of the Dorcas Circle for the last 2 years, and worked with the church quilting group. She also belonged to an Extension Club, and had been president of the Hamilton County Extension Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Sharon, a son Gerald, and a sister Geraldine Reihs.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son John and his wife Lunda of Sutton; a brother Vernon Tolin of Englewood, Colorado, and 2 grandchildren, Kirsten and Peter J. Miller.
