Zach Miller

Zach Miller, age 73, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at the Nebraska Veterans Home.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, June 8th at the Higby-McQuiston Chapel in Aurora. The Rev. Jim Garfield will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: ZACH MILLER

Zachery Zilles Miller, the son of Perry L. and Laura (Stanley) Miller, was born in Ansley, Nebraska on April 24, 1933 and died in Grand Island, Nebraska on June 6, 2006, at the age of 73.

After graduating from high school Zach joined the U. S. Army, where he served in the Korean War.

Zach married Elva McCullough Freeman on September 9, 1983. They resided in Grand Island. Elva passed away on December 19, 1997.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Nancy Davis, grandson Andrew Miller and step-son, Billy Freeman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, Richard Miller of Pleasanton, Mike Miller of St. Paul, and James Miller of Arizona; 13 grandchildren, sister Zora Adams of Florida, and two nieces. He is also survived by two step-daughters, Christine Freeman of Lincoln and Brenda (Brian) Rohnke Sonnenfeld of Aurora; step-grandchildren, Joshua Hafner of Lincoln, Destiney Freeman, Mellisa Addison & son Caden of Grand Island and Brian Addison of Grand Island.
