Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, April 28, 1983 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Sylvia Mills

Sylvia Lorena Mills, the daughter of James and Almyra (Hunter) Kerr, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 5, 1897, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 25, 1983, at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 20 days.

She grew up and graduated from high school in Aurora and then attended business school in Lincoln for one year.

On August 25, 1918, she was united in marriage to Harold J. Mills at Aurora. He preceded her in death in 1971. After her marriage she lived in Roggin, Colorado, Arapahoe, Nebraska and Kansas City, Kansas. Then retired and moved to Aurora.

Sylvia was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora, Chapter #93 of the Order of Eastern Star, Aurora, the Aurora Women’s Club and the Federated Business Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, ones sister Florence Wade and one grandson.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are two sons, EJ Mills of Aurora and HJ Mills of Hickman Mills, Missouri; one daughter Marguerite Bosanko of Aurora; one sister Mabel Wade of Aurora; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends.
