Ruth Moore
Ruth Carroll Moore, age 92, formerly of Chicago, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in Aurora, Nebraska. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, June 18, 2012, at Stockham Community Church, 409 Scott St., Stockham, NE with Rev. Paul Nauman officiating. Private family burial in Aurora Cemetery will precede the service. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to North Love Baptist Church, 5301 E. Riverside Blvd., Rockford, IL 61114 or the Christian Resource Center, 603 S. K Rd., Giltner, NE 68841. OBITUARY: RUTH CARROLL MOORE Ruth was born December 24, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois to Maria and Alexander Barth; she was the ninth of 10 children. She was married to James Trimble Moore on November 18, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by daughters Marilynn Helms (Ron) of Palatine, IL; Janice Boud (Ron) of Jackson, TN; Sandra Main-Niemisto (John) of Detroit, MI; and Doris Huenefeld (Paul) of Aurora, NE; nine grandchildren, Brackston (Monica) Helms, Chad (Amy) Helms, Evert (Rebecca) Main, Andra Main, Hannah (Dalane) Epp, Bethany (Rob) Honken, Heidi (Jan Michael) Beran, James (Megan) Huenefeld, and Gracia Huenefeld; and 16 great grandchildren. She was a faithful helpmate to her husband for 70 years of marriage, and a homemaker who graciously opened her home and heart to hundreds of people over many years. She will be remembered for being a role model for her daughters and others who lived in their home, for her unselfish giving of time and energy to serve others, and for her unwavering faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ. |
