Thelma MundtFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, March 15, 1996 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hampton, Nebraska. Interment was held in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Hampton, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Thelma Mundt Thelma Gale Mundt, the daughter of Alverdo and Hannah (Webster) Bowman, was born at Delphos, Kansas, on January 19, 1917, and died at Omaha, Nebraska, on March 12, 1996, at the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 23 days. The family moved to Nebraska, when she was in the first grade, and she grew up and received her education near Bradshaw. On March 8, 1934, she was united in marriage to Herbert Mundt, at Polk. They farmed near Polk, in York County, and Hampton, until 1974, when they retired and moved to Aurora. Herbert preceded her in death on June 1, 1990. Thelma was a faithful member of the Hampton Zion Lutheran Church, and belonged to the ladies aid. She also enjoyed sewing, fancy work, quilting, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Clifford Bowman, and one sister Bessie Beat. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Betty Buller of Omaha, and Ruth LeBaron of Olathe, Kansas; five brothers, Forrest Bowman of Polk, Alverdo Bowman of Grand Island, Gladson Bowman of Bradshaw, Claud Bowman of Rupert, Idaho, and Gilbert Bowman of Lakewood Colorado; two sisters, Lillie Otte of York, and Gladys Curren of Valley; five grandchildren, Eric Buller, Dawn Buller-Kirke, Lisa Platter, Jay LeBaron, and Jill Gillenwater; and 11 great grandchildren. |
