Sherlyn Murray

Sherlyn Murray, age 62, of Giltner, died, Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at her home.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 5th at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Rev. Marta Wheeler will officiate. No Visitation. OBITUARY: SHERLYN MURRAY

Sherlyn Kay Murray, the daughter of Wilbur and Marie M. (Ryder) Ott, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on January 3, 1947 and died in Giltner, Nebraska on September 1, 2009, at the age of 62.

She was raised in Giltner and graduated from Giltner High School.

Sherlyn was married to Charles Knerr. They lived in Stromsburg, where they raised their two daughters, Kimberly and Kelly. Sheryln worked as a grain tester at Murphy Elevator and later was a security guard at the State Fair Grounds. Sherlyn also worked in dispensing at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln, before her health prevented her from working.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Helmink of Lincoln and Kelly Knerr of Lincoln; mother, Marie Ott of Giltner; sister, Linda (Bob) Kohtz of Sutton; two brothers, Melvin Ott of Elba and Dennis Ott of Grand Island; two grandchildren, Cody and Micaila and many nieces and nephews and family members.
