Funeral Services were held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 19, 1987 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Effie Nelson

Effie Maxine Nelson, the daughter of John and Florence (Liebhart) McClay, was born on a farm near Aurora, on November 26, 1903, and passed away at Anaheim, California, on December 16, 1987, at the age of 84 years and 20 days.

On June 9, 1925, she was united in marriage to Glenn LeRoy Nelson, at Wahoo, Nebraska. They lived at Aurora, and in 1932, they moved to Lincoln. Later they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and then to Anaheim, California. Glenn preceded her in death on March 16, 1967.

Effie was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Anaheim.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Robert in 1931; 3 sisters, Dora Guilford, Anna Zimmerman, and Fannie Masters.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son William and her daughter Betty Schwarz both of Orange County, California; one brother John McClay of Central City; 2 sisters, Nettie Phillips of Aurora and Nellie Watson of Lincoln and 3 grandchildren.
