Harold NelsonFuneral Services were held 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, April 10, 1984 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Harold G. Nelson Harold Gust Nelson, the son of Melker and Martha (Kindvall) Nelson, was born February 21, 1910, at Aurora, Nebraska, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 6, 1984, at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 15 days. His entire lifetime was spent around Aurora, where he attended country schools, and later was engaged in farming. In 1973, following the death of his wife he retired. On March 30, 1932, he was united in marriage to Mayme Nelson. She preceded him in death on March 22, 1973. In his earlier years Harold had belonged to the Monroe Free Church, and at the time of his death was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge in Grand Island. He was preceded in death by his wife Mayme, his father, Melker Nelson and a brother Martin Nelson. Those who survive are his three daughters, Gladys Holz of Central City, Doris Jones of Lincoln and Phyllis Hoch of Willoughby, Ohio; his mother, Martha Palmblade of Aurora; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and other relatives and close friends. |
