Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 13, 1993 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Jennie Newlun

Jane “Jennie” Newlun, the daughter of Patick and Jane (Fish) Moran, was born in Pike County, Illinois, on January 10, 1891, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 9, 1993, at the age of 102 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

She grew up at Baylis, Illinois, where she attended school.

On October 1, 1909, she was united in marriage to Charles Newlun, at Aurora. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1956. She lived in the Aurora area all the rest of her life, and she and her husband farmed west of Aurora from 1945 to 1951, when they retired and moved into Aurora.

Jennie was a member of the Aurora Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Mildred Buchanan, and a son Darold.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Ernest of Dunsmuir, California; 4 daughters, Naomi Shedd of San Pablo, California, Lavada Hannan of Mt. Shasta, California, Velma Gray of Aurora, and Virginia Derr of Superior, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
