Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 7, 1986 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Marion Newlun

Marion Thomas Nuwlun, the son of Thomas and Mary (Lint) Newlun, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 5, 1911, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 3, 1986, at the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 8 days.

He grew up in Aurora where he attended school.

On January 4, 1932, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Penner at Aurora.

He was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.

Marion was employed by T.B. Hord elevator in Aurora for 35 years then later Supergene and Cargill in Aurora. He retired in 1967 and has since worked with his son at Tom’s Used Cars in Aurora.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Marianne Newlun, and 6 brothers, Charles, George, Joseph, Jack, Jim and Fred.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Dorothy; one son Tom of Aurora and one daughter Betty Van Luchene of Aurora; one grandson Mike Newlun of Beatrice who they raised and 6 other grandchildren, one great-grandchild, 1 sister-in-law, Mrs. Jennie Newlun, and many other relatives and close friends.
