Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 19, 1995 at the Aurora First Christian Church. Interment was held in the Provo City Cemetery in Provo, Utah.

OBITUARY: Mark Nielsen

Mark Dean Nielsen, the son of James and Charlotte (Swasey) Nielsen, was born at Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 6, 1974, and died at Lincoln, Nebraska, at 9:55 A.M. on April 16, 1995, at the age of 20 years, 9 months, and 10 days, from massive head injuries suffered in a car-train collision on April 10, 1995, at Aurora, Nebraska.

He attended Timpview High School in Provo, Utah, and graduated from Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah, in 1992. He loved sports, was an avid skier, and loved all out door activities. He also loved pencil sketching, and last but definitely not least, he loved the mountains.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his parents, James D. Nielsen of Aurora, and Charlotte Nielsen of West Valley City, Utah; a brother Michael and his wife Shanie of Sandy, Utah; 4 sisters, Debbie Ghioto and her husband Martin of Jacksonville, Florida, Laurie Hester and her husband Dave of Papillion, Jaimme Nielsen of Aurora and Jackie Nielsen of West Valley City, Utah. His grandmothers, Athena Swasey of Provo, Utah, and Sylvia Nielsen of Aurora; 2 very special nephews Zachary and Gabriel, and numerous very special cousins and their families, and many very special friends.

He is loved and will be missed greatly by many, but will always be in our hearts.
