Delmar NissenFuneral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 7, 1983 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. OBITUARY: Delmar Nissen Delmar Andersen Nissen, the son of Erik and Anna (Andersen) Nissen, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on August 7, 1912, and died suddenly at his home in Aurora, Nebraska, on February 3, 1983, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 26 days. He was raised on the family farm near Hampton and attended school district # 81. He spent 2 years at Grandview College in Des Moines, Iowa. On June 29, 1945, he was united in marriage to Pauline Norgard Henne, at Smith Center, Kansas. Delmar was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg and was a lifelong faithful member. He was also a member of the Central City American Legion Post #6, serving his country during World War II. He and his wife farmed in the Kronborg area until 1975, when they moved to their present home in Aurora. Those who preceded him in death were his parents and one brother Harlan Nissen. Remaining to cherish his memory are his faithful wife, Pauline; two sons Gary and Rex both of Aurora; one step-son Don Henne of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister Mrs. Harold Lagoni of Hampton; 5 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many other relatives and close friends. |
