Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 27, 1993 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Hannah Noble

Hannah Christine Craft Noble, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Larson) Johnson, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on October 29, 1891, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 23, 1993, at the age of 101 years, 10 months, and 24 days.

She grew up and received her education in Aurora, and graduated with the Aurora High School Class of 1909. She received normal training in Lincoln, and taught school for 3 years.

On June 4, 1913, she was united in marriage to Warren Craft. They lived in Bayard, Nebraska for 10 years, and returned to Aurora in 1923. Her husband and his brother Charles put down the first irrigation well in Hamilton County. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1937.

Hannah helped start the first Aurora High School hot lunch program, and also helped start the Aurora Alumni Association.

She was a long time member of the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ, and belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, the Eastern Star and the Aurora Women’s Club.

On June 10, 1970, she married Lloyd Noble. He preceded her in death on January 16, 1979.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one son Elmo Craft; a brother C.A. Johnson, and a sister Ruth Bean.

She is survived by 2 grandsons, Dale and John Craft; 3 great grandsons, Seth, Matthew and Dale Craft, Jr., all of California; one step-son Hugh Noble of Red Bluff, California; and nieces and nephews.
