OBITUARY: Steven Norris

Steven Otis Norris, the son of Otis and June (Spry) Norris was born at Superior, Nebraska, on September 9, 1943, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 26, 1994, at the age of 50 years, 10 months, and 17 days.

He attended kindergarten in Superior, and following his father’s death, the family moved to Aurora, when he was 5 years old. He graduated from Aurora High School with the class of 1962, attended Kearney State College for one year, and then went to Cosmetology School in Lincoln and Grand Island, and studied in New Jersey with the Wella Company.

Steve worked in Aurora, Omaha, Sacramento, California, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a cosmetologist. He had been in failing health for the past 5 years.

He was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otis, Norris, and his grandfather Ralph Spry.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his mother June Johnson and her husband Reuben of Aurora; one sister Karen Bryant of Waterloo, Nebraska; his grandmother Myrtle Spry of Aurora, one niece, and other relatives.
