Lucille Nyblom
Lucille Nyblom, age 91, formerly of Aurora, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011, at the Papillion Manor. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 14th at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. Pastor Karl Larson will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: LUCILLE NYBLOM Lucille Mildred Nyblom, the daughter of Stephen and Anna (Anderson) Andersen, was born near Marquette, Nebraska on November 20, 1919 and died in Papillion, Nebraska on January 10, 2011, at the age of 91. Lucille grew up in the Marquette area and graduated from Marquette High School in 1937. Following high school, she taught country school in District #47 in the Monroe Precinct. On August 4, 1940, she was united in marriage to Kenneth R. Nyblom. They farmed and fed cattle on the farm place where Kenneth grew up until their retirement in 1987. In 1987, they moved to Aurora where they enjoyed retirement life until Kenneth’s death in 1998. Lucille later moved to East Park Villa in 2001, where she enjoyed many friends and activities. Due to illness in 2008, she moved to Papillion Manor where she was closer to her daughter and family. She remained at the Manor until her death. Lucille was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church and was active in teaching Sunday School, Women’s Missionary Society, and serving at church dinners. She was a member of the Hamilton Manor Auxiliary. While living in Aurora, she also enjoyed attending the Evangelical Covenant Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother & sister-in-law, Elmer & Lona Andersen; four sisters & brothers-in-law, Esther & Axel Person, Edith & Clarence McConnell, Erma & Clyde Travis and Ethel & Einer Johnson and a sister, Lillian May. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Pam (Brian) Dauner of Gretna; grandson, Mark (Mindy) Dauner; granddaughter, Alison (Nick) Paladino; great-granddaughters, Kyla & Serena Paladino all of Gretna. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Maynard May of Aurora and many nieces and nephews. |
