Ben Olson

Funeral Services were held 1:30 P.M., Friday, December 12, 1997 at the Monroe Evangelical Free Church near Murphy, Nebraska. Interment was held in the Phillips Cemetery in Phillips, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Ben Olson

Benjamin Ralph Olson, the son of Donald and Mary (Thompson) Olson, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska on May 29, 1957, and died at Aurora, Nebraska on December 8, 1997, at the age of 40 years, 6 months, and 9 days.

He grew up in Phillips, where he attended grade school, and graduated from Aurora High School in 1975. Following graduation, he served in the National Guard.

On October 22, 1977, he was united in marriage to Julie Ann Bell, at Giltner, Nebraska. After their marriage they lived in Giltner, Grand Island, and for the past five years have lived in Aurora.

Ben was a licensed real estate broker and appraiser, and owned and operated Olson Appraisal, and was a broker for Cornwell, Olson & Smith Real Estate & Cornwell & Associates.

He attended the Monroe Evangelical Free Church, was a member of the Phillips Keystone Masonic Lodge #62 A.F. & A.M., and belonged to the Aurora Rotary Club.

He was preceded in death by his father Don Olson.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Julie of Aurora; four daughters, Hillary, Lindsay, Natalie, and Phoebe, all of Aurora; two brothers John of Doniphan and Tom of Aurora; two sisters Pam Sass and Carol Vincik, both of Aurora, and his mother Mary Olson of Aurora.
