Theresa Ormond

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, February 15, 1993 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Giltner, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Theresa Ormond

Theresa Josephine Ormond, the daughter of Peter and Theresa (Ahlers) Schwarz, was born October 27, 1913, at Granville, Iowa, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 12, 1993, at the age of 79 years, 3 months, and 15 days.

She attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Granville, and later helped with farming with her brother and sister, Peter and Agatha, and was a housekeeper for people until her marriage.

On April 7, 1953, she was united in holy matrimony to Richard Ormond, at Granville, Iowa. They farmed south east of Giltner after their marriage.

Theresa was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Giltner, and belonged to St. Joseph’s Altar Society. She was also a member of the Bingville Neighborhood Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Peter, Joseph, William, and Herman Schwarz; and 3 sisters, Agatha Schwarz, Anna Penning, and Catherine Schnoes.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard of Harvard; 2 sons, Patrick of Harvard, and Dennis of Granville, Iowa; 2 brothers, George Schwarz of Paso Robles, California, and Charles Schwarz of Belgrade, Minnesota; and 2 sisters, Clara Roder of Remsen, Iowa, and Agnes Misener of Daly City, California.
