Marla Ostrander

Marla Ostrander, age 39, of Hampton, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 5th at Higby-McQuiston Chapel in Aurora. Deanna Disney will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 P.M. OBITUARY: MARLA OSTRANDER

Marla Kay Ostrander, the daughter of Ronald L. and Gloria J. (Disney) Sharp, was born in Fort Riley, Kansas on June 17, 1970 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on January 2, 2010, at the age of 39.

She grew up in Grand Island. Marla attended Seedling Mile, Barr Junior High and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1988. Marla worked as a nanny in Colorado for a year and then returned to work at various nursing homes in Nebraska as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medication Aide

Marla was united in marriage to Gerald Ostrander on January 2, 2007. Marla retired in 2008 due to illness.

Marla liked to play Bingo and played as often as she could.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gerald Ostrander of Hampton; daughter, Shayna Sharp of Hampton; parents, Ron & Gloria Sharp of Grand Island; sisters, Mary (J.T.) Harris and Veronica (Gaylan) Friesen both of Hampton; grandfather, Ben Disney of Superior; 10 nieces; 5 nephews; sisters-in-law, Connie (Richard) Munk of Newport, Myra Robinson of Bruning, Tammy (Brad) Beyea of Gretna, Nancy (Dane) Rodgers of Westfield, Indiana and Kay (Wayne) Kugel of Hebron and many aunts, uncles, and friends.
