Rowena Ostrander

Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 31, 1987 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Rowena Ostrander

Rowena B. Ostrander, the daughter of Clarence and Clara (Hill) Campbell, was born at Giltner, Nebraska, on January 17, 1935, and passe away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 28, 1987, at the age of 52 years and 1 day.

She attended District #87, and graduated from Aurora High School in 1953.

On March 31, 1956, she married Myron Ostrander at Aurora.

While living in Aurora she worked for Sena Larson in the nursing home and also worked in the old Aurora Hospital. In 1967, she moved to Hampton, and in 1973 she returned to Aurora and was employed in the Bakery Department of Jim’s Foods and the Red & White Grocery.

Rowena was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Letha Norby, a brother and sister-in-law Keith & Rosanna Campbell; an infant son, and a grandson Justin Ray.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her children, a son, Gerald Ostrander of Aurora, 5 daughters, Connie Munk of Newport, Myra Robinson of Bruning, Tammy Beyea of Kearney, Nancy Ostrander in the U.S. Army at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, and Kay Ostrander at home in Aurora. One sister Elaine Unterseher of Lexington; 3 grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends.
