Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 6, 1998 at the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Anna Oswald

Anna Marie Oswald, the daughter of David and Fannie (Springer) Bachman, was born at Roanoke, Illinois on December 1, 1906, and died at Aurora, Nebraska on March 3, 1998, at the age of 91 years, 3 months, and 2 days.

Her early years were spent at Roanoke, where she attended country school. As a young lady she came to Nebraska to live with relatives and help with their families.

On September 9, 1930, she was united in marriage to Albert Oswald at Washington, Illinois. They farmed southwest of Aurora until moving into Aurora in 1972. Anna moved to Hamilton Manor in February of 1998.

Anna was active in Pleasant View Bible Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher for many years, and in the ladies group. She was also involved in work for ARC. She was an avid flower gardener and was very proud of her “green thumb.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Rudy, Ralph, and Albert Bachman and an infant brother, 2 sisters, Frances Heinhold and Wilma Beer, and a great granddaughter.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband Albert, 2 sons, David and his wife Delores “Dee”, and Louis “Buzz” and his wife Lillian all of Aurora, 1 sister Ada Smithson of Loogootee, Illinois, 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
