Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 5, 1984 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Carl Oswald

Carl Ezra Oswald, the son of John and Verena (Roth) Oswald, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 19, 1893, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 3, 1984, at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 14 days.

His childhood was spent near Aurora, where he attended high school, and later the Aurora Business College.

On February 6, 1918, he was united in marriage to Bertha Adams at Bradshaw, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on August 7, 1979.

They farmed near Aurora until moving to town in 1945, when Carl semi-retired. He worked at the Aurora Hatchery, Thiesen Irrigation, the Aurora Co-op, the Aurora Veterinary Clinic, and the Bremer Hardware. In 1981, he moved into the Hamilton Manor.

Carl was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Robert in World War II and 6 brothers and 7 sisters.

He is survived by his son Max of Lincoln; 3 granddaughters and 5 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends.
