Edwin Oswald

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 27, 1994 at the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Edwin Oswald

Edwin Roth Oswald, the son of Daniel and Eda (Bald) Oswald, was born on a farm southwest of Aurora, Nebraska, on July 14, 1905, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 25, 1994, at the age of 88 years, 9 months, and 11 days.

He attended school at District 64 West of Aurora, and also attended Aurora High School. He served in the Armed Forces from 1942 until 1943, when he was discharged because of illness. He then returned to farming, where he was active until he was 80. He continued to live on the farm where he was born until he moved to the Hamilton Manor in 1993 due to failing health.

Edwin was a member of the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church.

“Eddie” made a hobby of whittling canes, which he shared with many of his friends. He also enjoyed visiting with others about his wheat crop and his many days of farming with his horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Willis.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his brother Albert Oswald and his wife Anna, one sister Freda Springer and her husband Albert, a sister-in-law Ines Oswald all of Aurora, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
