Margie Oswald

Margie Oswald, age 93, of Aurora died Monday evening, February 28, 2000, at the Hamilton Manor.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday at the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Paul Nauman will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Thursday at Higby Mortuary.

OBITUARY: MARGIE OSWALD

Margie Marie Oswald, the daughter of Rev. Eugene R. and Mary (Gundy) Augspurger, was born in Gridley, Illinois on September 28, 1906 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on February 28, 2000, at the age of 93 years and 5 months.

Her family moved to Aurora in 1923. She graduated from Aurora High School in 1925. She attended York College for two years and summer school at Wesleyan. Margie taught rural school for several years.

She was united in marriage to Earl J. Oswald on December 23, 1934. They lived on a farm west of Aurora. Earl passed away in 1983. In 1994, Margie moved to Hamilton Manor.

Margie was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

Her parents, husband, three brothers, Ivo, Virgil and George, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronald E. Oswald of Modesto, California and James P. Oswald of Aurora; one daughter, Kerry Sue Twist of Hillsboro, Oregon; one brother, A. Paul Augspurger of Fallbrook, California; two sisters, Zola M. Springer of Aurora and Zelda A. Rowe of California; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
