Ralph Oswald

Ralph Oswald, age 59, of Gillette, Wyoming, formerly of Aurora died Saturday, January 15, 2000.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday at the Higby Mortuary Chapel in Aurora. Rev. Barry McCormick will officiate. Interment will be at Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: RALPH OSWALD

Ralph Raymond Oswald, the son of Raymond and Alice (Smith) Oswald, was born in Turlock, California on June 12, 1940 and died in Gillette, Wyoming on January 15, 2000, at the age of 59 years 7 months and 3 days.

He grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1958. He joined the Air Force right after high school. Ralph served for four years in the Korean Conflict in Japan and Korea. He farmed in Hamilton County for sometime after returning from the war.

He was united in marriage to Frances Case on March 11, 1983 in Scottsbluff. They moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1985 from Scottsbluff.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball and liked to collect guns.

His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Frances of Gillette, Wyoming; three children, Tom Oswald of Harvard, Denise Lawrence of Lincoln and Stephanie Oswald of Grand Island; 3 grandchildren; stepchildren, Brenda Katzemeyer, Brad Russell of Gillette, WY; two stepgranddaughters; brother, Gerald Oswald of Aurora; sister, Lucille Ulmer of Aurora.
