Willis OswaldFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 28, 1992 at the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Willis Oswald Willis Daniel Oswald, the son of Daniel and Eda (Bald) Oswald, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 9, 1909, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 27, 1992, at the age of 83 years, 3 months, and 18 days. He went to country school, and attended Aurora High School, and then farmed on the family farm. On May 28, 1936, he was united in marriage to Ines Reisinger at Central City. They farmed near Aurora, and then moved to Illinois for 9 years. They then moved to Archer for several years, and then moved to Grand Island, where the worked in a lumber yard, and later transported mobile homes. They moved to Albion and Newman Grove and then lived in Iowa for 6 years. In 1973, they moved to Aurora, and he worked at the Hamilton Motor Inn for 13 months before retiring. Willis was an active member of the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Ines of Aurora; one son Robert of Aurora; 2 daughters, Ruth Matthews of Norfolk and Frances Syrovatka of Torrington,, Wyoming; 2 brothers, Albert and Edwin and one sister Freda Springer, all of Aurora; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. |
