Ervin Paben, Sr.Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 18, 1996 at the United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Ervin Paben, Sr. Ervin Ralph Paben, Sr., the son of Ben and Carhrine “Minnie” Neubauer Paben, was born northeast of Hampton on February 4, 1911, and died in a traffic accident north of Hampton on November 15, 1996, at the age of 85 years, 9 months, and 11 days. He grew up on the family farm northeast of Hampton, and at an early age he joined his father in the farming operation. On February 27, 1936, he was united in marriage to Frances Knerr at Osceola. He farmed the family farm, purchasing it in 1946, and continued to live there even after his retirement. Ervin was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Hampton, and the Masonic Lodge in Polk. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Frances of Aurora, one son Ervin “Butch” Paben, Jr., and his wife Karen of Columbus, one daughter, Twila McCracken and her husband William of Omaha, one sister Pearl Shenk of Clarks, 4 grandchildren, Lauren Herring of Omaha, Lisa Larson of LaVista, Kristen Griess of Lincoln, Troy Paben of Columbus, and 6 great grandchildren. |
