Martha Palmblade

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 19, 1990 at the Aurora Evangelical Covenant Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Martha Palmblade

Martha Palmblade, the daughter of Karl and Anna Kindvall, was born at Ostergotland, Sweden, on March 11, 1888, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 15, 1990, at the age of 101 years, 11 months, and 4 days.

She grew up and attended school in Sweden, and at the age of 19 years, she came to Boston and rode a train to Hamilton County, where she lived with her brother.

On December 6, 1907, she was united in marriage to Melker Nelson at Aurora. They lived and farmed west of Aurora for 42 years, and in 1950, they moved into Aurora. Melker died June 6, 1964.

On July 20, 1969, she married Edwin Palmblade at Aurora. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1981. In 1982, she moved into the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

Martha was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora, and had been active in the church until the last few months.

Her family meant a lot to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 2 sons, Martin and Harold, a daughter-in-law Mayme Nelson; 6 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are a step-son Marvin Palmblade of Leota, Kansas; a step-daughter Gretchen Walker of Abilene, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, Gladys Holz of Central City, Doris Jones of Lincoln, Phyllis Hoch of Willowick, Ohio, Adriane Kinlock of Palmdale, California, Norma Nelson of Los Angeles, California, and Donna Ridnourn of Columbus; 17 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren; 4 step-grnadchildren, several step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a daughter-in-law, Norma Clark.
