Ardean PaneitzArdean Paneitz, age 67, of Grand Island died Sunday morning, March 12, 2000, at the St. Francis Skilled Care in Grand Island. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Grand Island. Rev. Daniel Bremer will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M., Tuesday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora. OBITUARY: ARDEAN PANEITZ Ardean L. Paneitz, the son of Walter and Ella (Holtzen) Paneitz, was born in Hampton, Nebraska on December 6, 1932 and died in Grand Island, Nebraska on March 12, 2000, at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 6 days. He grew up near Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. Ardean returned to Hampton to farm with his dad. Ardean was united in marriage to Norma Jean Lentz on April 8, 1956 in Aurora. They lived on the farm for 11 years. Ardean went to work for New Holland in Grand Island as a welder in 1965. They moved to Grand Island in 1967. Ardean worked for New Holland for 27 years. He was a member of American Legion #53 in Grand Island and Grace Lutheran Church, where he held many offices. Ardean loved his horses, hunting and fishing. He loved going to farm sales and working in his shop. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Norma of Grand Island; daughter, Amy Paneitz of Kearney; brother, LaVern Paneitz of York; sister, Mrs. Delores Meyers and her husband Delysle of Grand Island. |
