Dwight Paschke

Dwight Paschke, age 80, of Aurora, died Monday, January 24, 2011, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 26th at the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Mark Hartley will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-7 P.M. Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: DWIGHT PASCHKE

Dwight Eugene Paschke, the son of Henry Elmer and Eva Doris (Price) Paschke, was born in rural Polk County, Nebraska on May 9, 1930 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on January 24, 2011, at the age of 80.

He grew up on the family farm and moved with his parents to Hamilton County in 1944. In 1946 he quit school to help his father on the farm.

Dwight was united in marriage to Lois Elge Wadkins on December 9, 1950 at the home of her parents. Following their marriage Dwight farmed northwest of Aurora until his retirement in 1995.

Dwight was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church where he ushered and served in many other capacities. He was currently a member of the Pleasant View Bible Church where he was also an usher for many years. Dwight accepted the Lord when he was a teenager and seldom missed church on Sundays.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lois Paschke of Aurora; sons, Byron (Nancy) Paschke of Aurora, Roger (Karin) Paschke of Topeka, Kansas and Larry (Michelle) Paschke of Aurora; six grandchildren, Nich (Jen) Paschke, Josh (Angie) Paschke, Lauren (Jacob) Weasel, Grant (Elizabeth) Paschke, Michael (Samantha) Paschke, and Jason Paschke; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Delores Kliewer; and many other family members and friends.
