Evelyn Patton

Evelyn Patton, age 75, of Aurora died Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 12th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Fr. Dennis Hunt will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. OBITUARY: EVELYN PATTON

Evelyn C. Patton, the daughter of Walter Sr. and Mary (Nosal) Dubas, was born in Nance County, Nebraska on April 18, 1932 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on September 8, 2007, at the age of 75.

She grew up in Fullerton, Nebraska and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1950. Evelyn worked at Clara’s Café in Fullerton while in high school. She enrolled in beauty school in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated in 1951.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Dale Patton on September 8, 1952 in Wahoo, Nebraska. They lived in Ralston and Doniphan, Nebraska before moving to Aurora in 1969. Evelyn owned and operated beauty shops in Fullerton, Ralston & Aurora, where she considered her customers as an extended family and cared for them all, treasuring their friendships. Evelyn retired in 1999.

Evelyn was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. She was a member of the Altar Society and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, where she held the positions of first and second vice president.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Dubas, and three sisters; Vicky Mostek, Loretta Mullhaney and Meg Newquist.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dale Patton of Aurora; daughter, Glenda Sapp and her husband Terry of Windsor, Colorado: three sons, Mike Patton and Lalana Sperline of Centennial, Colorado, Dave Patton of Longmont, Colorado and Steve Patton and his wife Shirley of Aurora; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Walter Dubas, Jr. of Fullerton and sister, Ella Bosley of Reader, West Virginia.
