Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 25, 1994 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Giltner. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Margaret Pavey

Margaret F. Pavey, the daughter of John and Mary (Hein) Herzog, was born March 6, 1917 at Trumbull, Nebraska, and died at her home in Giltner, Nebraska, on June 22, 1994, at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 16 days.

She grew up and attended school in Trumbull and graduated from Harvard High School with the class of 1934. She taught school in the rural Trumbull and Giltner areas.

In 1939, she was united in marriage to Arthur Edward Pavey in Harvard. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1993. They lived in Wyoming for a year and then farmed near Giltner until moving into Giltner in 1960.

Margaret was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Giltner, where she served as choir director for many years, was a member of St. Joseph’s altar society, and was a past member of the Scoville Extension Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters Elva Schultz and Alice Herzog, and a grandson, Michael Happold.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Ronald and his wife Mary Kay; 3 daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Killham) Marilyn (Mrs. James Happold) and Grace (Mrs. William Fry); a brother Charles Herzog; 2 sisters, Grace Schultz and Ruth Bott; 16 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
