Daisy Pence

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 15, 1992 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Daisy Pence

Daisy McKay Pence, the daughter of Frank and Ina (McKay) Glasner, was born at Stuart, Nebraska, on January 19, 1895, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 13, 1992, at the age of 97 years, 3 months, and 24 days.

She grew up at Stuart and Madison and graduated from Madison High School. She then taught country school for 2 years.

On June 17, 1914, she was united in marriage to Roy L. Pence at Madison. In 1915, they moved to Aurora, where Roy and his father started and operated Pence Cash Hardware, which operated through 3 generations. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1943.

Daisy was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and belonged to the Mysotis Ladies Club and Church Circle.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son, Roland M. “Bud” Pence of Aurora; one daughter Margaret Jean Benson of North Platte; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
