Nellie Perry

Nellie Perry, age 85, widow of Melvin Perry died Saturday, January 8, 2000, at her home in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church in Aurora. Rev. James Garfield will officiate. Interment will be at Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Tuesday at Higby Mortuary.

OBITUARY: NELLIE PERRY

Nellie S. Perry, the daughter of Jacob and Bessie (Broughton) Eckert, was born in Dalton, Nebraska on September 10, 1914 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on January 8, 2000, at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 28 days.

Nellie was born and raised in Dalton, where she went to country school.

She was united in marriage to Melvin Perry on June 23, 1936 in York, Nebraska. They farmed near Phillips. Melvin passed away on December 3, 1979. Nellie moved to Aurora in 1980.

Nellie was a member of Assembly of God Church and the BB Club. She loved her gardening, quilting and playing cards.

Her parents, husband, three sisters, Rose Einfault, Bertha Larson Davis and Virginia Adams and one brother, Kenneth Eckert preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son Wendell and his wife Barb of Phillips; sister Lorraine Seiler of Centerville, Utah; nieces and nephews.
