Roger Perry

Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 6, 1993 at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Roger Perry

Roger Lee Perry, the son of Ray and Verla (Lewis) Perry, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska, on March 11, 1948, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, following a bout with cancer, at the age of 44 years, 9 months, and 23 days.

He grew up on a farm north of Murphy and graduated from Aurora High School with the class of 1966, and then attended Central Tech at Hastings for one year. During this period he was involved in a major auto accident which changed the course of his life, and involved a long period of recovery. He began farming with his father and later purchased his own farm.

On January 5, 1974, he was united in marriage to Bernetta Siemers at Aurora. They continued farming, and for the past 4 years Roger operated his own commercial trucking business.

As a young teen Roger began participating in Go-Cart races, and later he drove in stock car races, driving Car #5, for several years.

He was a member of the Aurora First Christian Church.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lacey J., 2 sisters Janice Danhauer of Lincoln and Karen Holloway of Aurora, and aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.
