Ray Perry

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 12, 1989 at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Ray Perry

Ray Kenneth Perry, the son of Giles and Elva (Killion) Perry, was born at Phillips, Nebraska, on March 4, 1914, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 9, 1989, at the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 5 days.

He grew up in the Phillips and Murphy area, and attended country schools.

On March 6, 1938, he was united in marriage to Verla Lewis at Aurora. They made their home on a farm in the Murphy vicinity. They resided in the Perry family home for 36 years, before moving into Aurora last October. Ray farmed up until the time of his retirement.

Ray was a member of the First Christian Church in Aurora. He served as deacon and on various church committees and was faithful in attendance. He was honored by the Aurora FFA Chapter as honorary chapter farmer for his services to the chapter in the community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Melvin and one sister Ethel Perry.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Verla of Aurora; one son Roger of Phillips; 2 daughters, Janice Danhauer of Lincoln and Karen Holloway of Phillips; his twin brother Fay of Aurora; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
