Verla Perry

Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, January 18, 1990, at the Aurora Christian Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Verla Perry

Verla May Perry, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Jacobs) Lewis, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 10, 1913, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 15, 1990, at the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 4 days.

She grew up near Aurora, and attended Aurora High School, and York College, and was a teacher in rural schools.

On March 6, 1938, she was united in marriage to Ray Perry, at Aurora. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1989. They farmed in the Murphy area, and in October of 1988 they retired and moved into Aurora.

Verla was an active member of the Aurora Christian Church, and was also a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, and was a 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her one son Roger of Murphy; 2 daughters, Janice Danhauer of Lincoln and Karen Holloway of Phillips; 4 sisters, Wilma Gengenbach of Madrid, and Carol Ernst, Fay Williamsen and Roma Hoegh all of Aurora; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
