Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 14, 1987 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Marie Petersen

Marie Viola Petersen, the daughter of Alfred and Carrie (Drongesen) Jensen, was born at Lindsey, Nebraska, on April 28, 1907, and passed away at Salt Lake City, Utah, on September 8, 1987, at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 10 days.

On February 24, 1928, she was united in marriage to Hainer C. Petersen. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1968.

They had lived in various locations around the United States while Mr. Petersen was in the construction business. Three years ago she moved to Salt Lake City to be near her son.

Marie was a charter member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Van Nuys, California. Later she was active in the Crystal Cathedral Congregation. She was also active in the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, and one sister.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Larry Petersen of Salt Lake City, Utah; 3 brothers, Ernest Jensen of Kearney, Alfred Jensen of Ashby, and Norman Jensen of Stockton, California; and 3 grandchildren.
