Funeral Services were held 1:30 P.M., Saturday, May 17, 1986 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Laura Phillips

Laura Ellen Phillips, the daughter of John and Viola (Roberts) Worcester, was born at Marshalltown, Iowa, on July 18, 1892, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 15, 1986, at the age of 93 years, 9 months, and 27 days.

She lived in Iowa and Missouri, and on October 18, 1913, she was united in marriage to Caleb Phillips, at Jameson, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1947.

They resided in Missouri until 1919, when they moved to Aurora. While living in Aurora, Laura was employed in York and Central City, until she retired in 1957.

She had attended the Christian Church.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 infants, and one son Robert and one daughter Vera Marie.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are 2 sons, Paul of Aurora, and Carl of Geneva. Two daughters, Alice Longmire of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Viola Wheelhouse of Santa Monica, California; one sister Irma Dart of San Jose, California; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
