Nettie PhillipsFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, May 20, 1991 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Nettie Phillips Nettie Phillips, the daughter of John W. and Florence (Liebhart) McClay, was born at Aurora, Nebraska on September 1, 1904, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska on May 17, 1991, at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 16 days. She grew up in Aurora, where she attended school. On November 11, 1936, she was united in marriage to Roy Phillips at Seward, Nebraska. They made their home in the Aurora area where they farmed for several years, and later moved into town. Roy preceded her in death on May 20, 1976. Nettie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; 4 sisters, Fanny Masters, Dora Guilford, Anna Zimmerman, and Effie Nelson; and one brother James McClay. Those who remain to cherish her memory are one brother, John McClay of Central City, Nebraska and one sister, Nellie Watson of Lincoln, Nebraska, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. |
