Ruby Piontkowski

Ruby Piontkowski, age 54, of Aurora, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at Memorial Hospital after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and chronic pain.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 8th at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island. Fr. Richard Piontkowski will officiate. OBITUARY: RUBY PIONTKOWSKI

Ruby Yvonne (Collins) Piontkowski, the daughter of Buster and Ruby Pearl (Gibson) Collins, was born in Pampa, Texas on October 2, 1957 and passed away in Aurora, Nebraska on February 3, 2012, at the age of 54.

Ruby grew up in Pampa, Texas and attended Pampa High School through her junior year. In her early working years she was an ambulance driver in Pampa and worked in law enforcement in Canadian, TX.

Ruby was married to Thomas Piontkowski on December 17, 1987 at Amarillo, Texas. They lived in Amarillo for 13 years before moving to Aurora, Nebraska six years ago.

Ruby was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grand Island and the MS Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Wayne Collins.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Tom of Aurora; three brothers, Kenneth Collins of Copperas Cove, Texas, Perry Collins of Port Lavaca, Texas and Buster Collins, Jr. of Scottsboro, Alabama; sister, Susan (Mike) Ballard of Houston, Texas; two half-brothers, Casey Collins and Donald Collins both of Flint, Texas; half-sister, Bobbie Sue Horner of Borger, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
