James PlambeckFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, August 15, 1985 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: James F. Plambeck James Fred Plambeck, the son of John and Ruth (Rein) Plambeck, was born at Ashton, Nebraska, on November 5, 1932, and passed away at Omaha, Nebraska, on August 11, 1985, at the age of 52 years, 9 months and 6 days. He grew up near Boelus and graduated from Boelus High School. On February 10, 1957, he was united in marriage to Verna McConaughey, at Aurora, Nebraska. He served his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, serving in Korea. He attained the rank of Sergeant. In 1955, he began working for the Farmer’s Union Creamery in Aurora, where he was manager when it closed in 1969. He then moved to Fullerton and worked for Central States Dairy and was manager when it closed in 1976, and then moved to Norfolk where he was field supervisor for Member Services of Mid-America Dairymen. He had worked for Mid-America Dairymen, Inc. for 30 years. Jim was a member of the Westridge United Methodist Church in Norfolk and was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Gregory James. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Verna; one son Alan of Big Spring, Texas; 2 daughters, Paula Plambeck of El Paso, Texas and Michelle Plambeck of Norfolk; one brother Donald of Grand Island; 2 sisters, Mrs. (Gene) Wesley Sorensen of Rapid City, South Dakota and Mrs. (Esther) LaRue Goossen of Kearney and many other friends and business associates. |
