A.D. Posey

A.D. Posey, age 66, died Thursday morning, February 17, 2000, at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday at Higby Mortuary Chapel in Aurora. Rev. Tom Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Saturday at Higby Mortuary.

OBITUARY: A.D. POSEY

A.D. Posey, the son of Doc and Annie (Allen) Posey, was born in DeKalb County, Alabama on November 23, 1933 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on February 17, 2000, at the age of 66 years, 2 months and 24 days.

He worked as a body man most of his life, until his health prevented him from doing so. He sang in a Gospel Quartet as a bass singer, in the group called the Comforters. He loved to sing, boat and fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Tyrone Hefner.

Survivors include his sisters, Iris June Dieckman of Aurora, Meldona Bryan of Boaz, Alabama and Gwen Sims of Boaz, Alabama, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
