Yvonne 'Vonnie' Potts

Yvonne 'Vonnie' Potts, age 66, of Aurora died Saturday, December 17, 2005, at Bryan/LGH West Hospital in Lincoln.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 21st at Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Aurora. Rev. Monty Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. The family will greet friends from 5 - 8. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: YVONNE POTTS

Yvonne 'Vonnie' Lou Potts, the daughter of Wilfred Lyle and Alyce (Lamoree) Dickson was born in Stromsburg, Nebraska on June 3, 1939 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on December 17, 2005, at the age of 66.

She spent her early years in Stromsburg and Omaha before her family moved to Deshler, where she graduated from Deshler High School. Vonnie attended one year of college at University of Nebraska at Lincoln and then went on to become a dental assistant.

Vonnie was united in marriage to Jack Potts on September 4, 1960 at Omaha. They had three children; Jodi, Lori and Mark. They lived in Beatrice and then moved to Aurora in 1969.

Vonnie was a member of Presbyterian United Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edward McGee.

Vonnie is survived by her husband Jack Potts of Aurora; three children, Jodi (Bob) Weiler of Omaha, Lori (Mark) Armstrong of Kearney, and Mark (Colleen) Potts of Germantown, Tennessee and 5 grandchildren. She is survived by her stepparents, Dr. Harry (Irene) McGee of Omaha; a brother, Jim Dickson of Kayesville, Utah and three sisters, Kathy (Roland) Obering of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Terri (Mike) Voglein of Montrose, Colorado and Lisa McGee of Denver, Colorado.
