Clark Prosser

Funeral Services were held 9:30 A.M., Thursday May 11 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Ft. McPhearson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Clark Prosser

Clark Harvey Prosser, the son of Harvey and Catherine (Watts) Prosser, was born at Ottumwa, Iowa, on November 19, 1922, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 7, 1995, at the age of 72 years, 5 months, and 10 days.

He grew up at Ottumwa, where he attended high school and helped on the farm. He joined the United States Navy at the outbreak of Pearl Harbor, and served 4 years, mostly in South America.

On February 1, 1949, he was united in marriage to Carol Hiller at Northwood, Iowa. He attended seminary for one year in Springfield, Illinois. He then sold vacuums, shoes and clothing for the J.C. Penny Company, and also sold houses and cemetery lots.

While living in Anaheim, San Diego, California, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, he sold insurance for many years. For the past 8 years, while residing in Aurora, he was employed at the Aurora Mall in the hardware department.

Clark was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, and was very active in church work, taught Sunday School for 25 years, was an Elder in the church and was involved in Evangelism throughout the years.

He always had a quick wit, was an avid reader, and was heard whistling regularly at work. As a growing family they started camping, and Clark and Carol continued to travel and enjoy camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Russell and an infant brother.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Carol of Aurora; 3 sons, Clark W. of Fridley, Minnesota, Cary of Santee, California, and Curtis of Grand Island; and 6 grandchildren.
