Oscar Ramey

Memorial Services were held 2:30 P.M., Saturday, May 2, 1987 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Oscar Ramey

Oscar Reigle Ramey, the son of Otterbein and Frances (Reigle) Ramey, was born at Red Cloud, Nebraska, on January 8, 1907, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 30, 1987, at the age of 80 years, 3 months, and 22 days.

He was a graduated of Red Cloud High School and attended the University of Nebraska Agriculture College.

On April 5, 1930, he was united in marriage to Bernice Copley, at Red Cloud. They farmed near Red Cloud until 1942, when they moved to Lincoln where he was a machinist for the Burlington Northern Railroad. In 1951 he was transferred to Aurora. He retired from the railroad in 1972.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Bernice; one son, Elton of Aurora; 4 daughters, Carolee Forster of Lincoln, Gayleen Zike of Aurora, Aileen Schafer of Aurora, and Sharon Dahlke of Bend, Oregon. One sister, Frances Warnsholz of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
