Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 31, 1995 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Interment was held in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Clara Rasmussen

Clara Martena Rasmussen, the daughter of Louis and Anine (Christensen) Andersen, was born at Marquette, Nebraska, on August 3, 1904, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 28, 1995, at the age of 90 years, 11 months, and 25 days.

She grew up and received her education in the Marquette area, and taught school at Distric #89 at Marquette.

On August 24, 1927, she was united in marriage to Otto Rasmussen at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg. They farmed in the Marquette and Kronborg vicinity until their retirement in 1962, when they moved into Marquette. Otto preceded her in death on October 19, 1981. In October of 1990, she moved to the Crossroads Court in Aurora, and in February of 1995, she entered the Memorial Care Center at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Clara was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter Eva Mae Schreurs, 4 brothers, Edward, Elmer, Rudy and Andy Andersen; 5 sisters, Dora, Josie, Ida, Emma, and Sena.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Edgar and his wife Doris of Marquette; a son-in-law Glen Schreurs of Omaha; 6 grandchildren, Karen Bamesberger, Leslie and Wesley Rasmussen, Kim Larsen, Dawn Dinsdale and Gail White; 11 great grandchildren, Ashely and Haley Rasmussen, Justin, Jackie, Kellie and Lacy Rasmussen, Alison, Paige and Mathew Dinsdale, Brittany and Cortney White, and many other relatives and close friends.
