Mildred RasmussenMildred Rasmussen, age 71, of Marquette died early Monday morning, September 27, 1999, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday morning at the Pleasant View Bible Church. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M., Wednesday at Higby Mortuary. OBITUARY: MILDRED RASMUSSEN Mildred Louise Rasmussen, the daughter of Cecil and Lucy Whisler, was born in Alberta, Canada on July 22, 1928 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on September 27, 1999, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 5 days. When she was nine years old she moved with her parents to Iowa. She completed her last two years of High School at the Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. Mildred also graduated from the Bible College department. Following graduation from Bible College she worked as a home missionary for a year. On August 15, 1952, she was united in marriage to Rev. Marlin Rasmussen. To this union four children were born: Judith, Jim, Janel and Jerald. After serving the Lord as missionary and Pastor wife, she went into the presence of the Lord on September 27, 1999. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, her parents, step-mother and one brother. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Marlin Rasmussen of Marquette; four children, Judy Rogers and her husband Randy of St. Charles, Missouri, Jim Rasmussen and his wife Darla of Thedford, Janel Osladil and her husband Rev. Michael of Decatur, Illinois and Jerald Rasmussen and his wife Beverly of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Morse and her husband Joe of Anaheim, California and Miriam Baer and her husband Ed of Perry, Iowa; one brother, David Whisler and his wife Jan of Dallas, Texas and other friends and relatives. |
