Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 26, 1983 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Mrs. Erna Rasmussen

Erna Marie Rasmussen, the daughter of Hans C. and Anna (Hansen) Pedersen, was born near Marquette, Nebraska, on October 22, 1900. Her death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska on October 23, 1983 at the age of 83 years and one day.

Her entire lifetime had been spent in the vicinity of Kronborg, where she received her education in the schools of that vicinity.

At an early age she was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran Faith in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg, where she had remained a faithful member throughout her lifetime.

On November 2, 1921 she was united in marriage to Edward Rasmussen at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. They farmed near Kronborg until 1938, when they quit the farm and moved into Kronborg, where she has since resided. One son blessed their home. Her husband preceded her in death on May 9, 1982.

Others who had preceded her in death were her parents; three brothers, Goodwin Pedersen and two infant brothers and one infant sister.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are one son, Donald and his wife Shirley of Giltner; one sister Mrs. Valborg Henderson of Marquette; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren and other relatives and many close friends.
