John ReardonFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, April 24, 1979 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held at Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: John K. Reardon John K. Reardon, the son of James and Mary Sterbinz Reardon, was born at Aurora, Nebraska on March 29, 1904. His death occurred at Omaha, Nebraska on April 27, 1979, following an illness of four months, at the age of 75 years and 21 days. He spent his childhood on his parent’s farm near Aurora and received his education in the District 14 School near his parent’s home. On January 29, 1926 he was united in marriage to Zelma Main at Aurora. In 1927 they moved to Detroit, Michigan, where they resided for less than a year and returned to Hamilton County where they farmed for several years. In 1969 he retired from farming and he and his wife operated an Antique shop in their home. There were three daughters born to them. John was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Aurora. He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Mary Ann, his parents and one brother, Dave Reardon. His survivors include his wife, Zelma, their two daughters, Mrs. Helen Pohl of Hampton and Mrs. Dorothy Hanway of Bridgeport, Nebraska; one sister, Cora Reardon of Aurora; five grandchildren and other relatives and close friends. |
