Richard Regier

Richard Regier, age 68, of Aurora died Saturday, July 3, 1999, at his home in Aurora.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday morning at the St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Grand Island located at 2nd & Cedar. Father Tim Anderson will officiate. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Hamilton County Foundation or St. Stephens Episcopal Church.

OBITUARY: RICHARD REGIER

Richard Dean Regier, the son of Jacob and Margaret (Pankratz) Regier, was born in Seward, Nebraska, on October 20, 1930 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on July 3, 1999, at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 13 days.

He grew up in Seward, Nebraska where he went to grade school. He attended high school in San Luis Obispo, California where he graduated in 1948. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Agricultural College in 1952, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and a 4 year letterman for the football team. He joined the ROTC Army and served in the Korean War from 1952-54.

On June 19, 1954, he was united in marriage to Susan Ross in Erindale, Ontario Canada. He was lifetime farmer. He farmed the family farm south of Hampton. After retiring from farming in 1995, he and Susan moved to Aurora.

Richard was a member of the Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Hampton and Aurora Masonic Lodge and had served as past master, and belonged to Tehama Shrine in Hastings. He also was a member of the Hampton American Legion Post #141, Aurora VFW and belonged to the 40 & 8. He had been a 4-H Leader and had served on the ASC Committee.

His parents and one brother, Robert L. Regier, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Susan Regier of Aurora; two sons, David Regier and his wife Carrie of Fort Worth, Texas and Brad Regier and his wife ReeAnn of Aurora, Nebraska; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
